Ukrainian Maritime Corridor Transports 200 Million Tons of Cargo Since Launch

Posted on 09.06.2026

Ukraine’s maritime corridor continues to support stable exports despite ongoing Russian attacks on port and logistics infrastructure. Since its launch in September 2023, a total of 200 million tons of cargo has been transported through Ukraine’s seaports.

According to Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration, Oleksii Kuleba, grain accounted for 118 million tons of the total cargo volume. During this period, Ukrainian ports handled more than 7,800 vessels.

Since the beginning of 2026 alone, nearly 35 million tons of cargo have been processed through Ukraine’s seaports. Ukrainian goods have been shipped to 56 countries worldwide. Kuleba noted that this achievement has been made possible by the dedicated work of port employees, seafarers, logistics specialists, dispatchers, engineers, and repair crews who continue to operate under wartime conditions.

Despite significant security challenges, the maritime corridor remains a vital tool for sustaining Ukraine’s exports and supporting global food security. At the same time, Russian attacks on logistics infrastructure continue. More than 500 drone strikes targeting logistics facilities were recorded in April alone.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 935 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged or partially destroyed. In addition, 191 civilian vessels have been affected, while 255 civilians have been injured as a result of attacks.

Earlier, German Ambassador Goiko Thoms visited the Port of Odesa.
